A stiff-leg derrick that lives on the roof for the length of the job, so the street stays open and the crane stays put.
What it is for
A stiff-leg derrick is erected on the roof or on a structure and stays there for the duration of the work. Nothing occupies the street, no daily setup and teardown, no road occupancy permits for a mobile crane every morning, and no waiting for a machine to come back next week.
This is the equipment of choice for long-running rooftop work: mechanical replacements, restoration, envelope and window programs, and any building where a mobile crane cannot reach the roof from grade or cannot be set up at all.

Working envelope
Diagram is indicative. Actual capacity at any radius comes off the load chart for the specific machine and configuration, confirmed in the lift plan.
